In addition, in our articles you can find a wide variety of topics that will surely help you identify and avoid junk apps.
On the other hand, throughout our search we have found some apps that are worthwhile and can help you, I invite you to check them out in case this one doesn’t catch your attention. Each year on the lists it is verified and is paid, and they address different topics that you will surely like. Anyway, let’s see if GigMate app is legitimate or not.
What is GigMate?
As you may know from its ads, GigMate is an app where you can search and find online and in-person jobs with excellent pay and few requirements. In fact, the app promises to provide work to all users who install it, and not just any job, but one that meets all their needs and turns them into some sort of millionaire, although this remains to be seen.
This particular app was published by Youssef Boukhira, a studio that has other apps that aim to reward their users for using them, although none of them promise a stable, long-term job. It is not possible to find information about this company on the web and the few data on the Play Store are not at all relevant, there is no background that can give us a clear idea although from what I see in their profile, it does not seem to be a reliable company.
On the other hand, it is not possible to find any information about the app either, which makes things even more complicated. Neither of these apps can operate without some regulation due to the service they offer, but this one is not even registered to begin with and does not seem to exist in the public eye.
Installation and registration on GigMate:
Finding this app is easy since it is currently quite popular, but I recommend checking the name of the company that published it to avoid confusion. If you are not given the option to install it, it may be due to compatibility issues with your phone since it is available worldwide.
To access the app you do not need to register, your data will only be requested when you decide to apply for one of the jobs.
How does it work?
When you enter GigMate, an interface will load where you can find different job offers with a short description. If you don’t want to look through them one by one, you can go directly to the search engine and type in the keywords to perform your search. The application has different offers available that you can freely apply for, although I recommend reading the description first to see if you fit the profile and not waste your time.
All available offers have information about the work you have to do, the money you can earn, the hours and other important information for a user. When you want to apply for one of the jobs, you just have to select it and when the new window loads, choose the “apply” option. When you do this, a kind of chat or new window will open in which you can follow the process. The jobs usually have a tempting offer to encourage you to apply, but I recommend that you keep a cool head and think about how logical what they promise you is.
Remember to be careful with your most personal data and, whatever happens, do not allow anyone to access your WhatsApp, as this could be a case of data theft. Also, do not give direct access to your phone, as this can be avoided by denying any permissions requested.
Payments:
Your payment is the responsibility of the employer, so the app has a free hand to wash its hands of the matter and not be responsible for it. Of course, if you are accepted for a job, the first thing you should do is clarify this point, although I suspect that each offer is designed and published by the app in order to create a better facade.
Personally, I do not consider their offers and jobs to be legitimate and if I had to say anything else, I would say that it could be a scam or data theft, so I do not recommend using it.
Does GigMate pay?
Look, I think it’s obvious by this point, but if you haven’t read the whole article, here’s the answer you’re looking for: GigMate is not legit, it’s just a scam. If you really want to look for work online or want a search engine that can even help you find in-person work, you should go to established and secure platforms. No Play Store app with no track record or support will be able to help you. There are many specialized sites on the web that do this, so I recommend looking there before risking your time on sites like this.
