PlayWard, do you get paid to play?
Today I am going to review PlayWard, an application where you earn money for testing sponsored applications, where you will mostly find games. As we already know, these types of applications tend to be reliable, but you have to take them as an extra income. Instead, PlayWard claims to make us hundreds of dollars with their app. This makes me think that either its advertising is misleading or it is a junk app.

What is Play Ward?
PlayWard is an app to earn money by playing and testing apps launched by Fitness Dev Team on July 04, 2022. In just under a month the app managed to get more than 50 thousand downloads in total. One strange fact that I found is that the app was released as a Health and Fitness app. And this category was not modified until 5 months later, it went from being Health and Fitness to Entertainment. Since September 2022, it has broken the mark of more than 100,000 downloads.
I do not understand at all the first category or the reason for the change of category. Something relevant is that they did not change it until after reaching 100,000 downloads.
In theory, this app rewards you for downloading and trying sponsored apps. The coins that you collect by doing this activity can be exchanged for cash once the minimum amount is reached. We have seen many such applications on the blog, the most recent being Game Tester. But there are two things that make me doubt this application. The first is that your minimum withdrawal is very high. And the second is that other of its applications were very poorly reviewed for not meeting payments.
Whether this is true or not, I don’t know, but it is concerning for us as we will spend a good amount of time not knowing if we will win or not.
Installation and registration in PlayWard:
The application is available to everyone and you can find it with a simple search in the Google PlayStore . Being so popular you can find it among the first results.
The application does not have any registration or login, which is somewhat alarming. Other apps from the same scope do have login, such as Cash Cow or Cash Giraffe. This shows that the developers are not concerned about fake accounts or keeping user data safe.
When you start the application you will be asked to allow usage tracking to determine your time in the applications. This is done because they are interested in knowing the usage time of the sponsored apps in order to “reward” you. After this they will give us a bonus of 10 coins, which translates as $0.10.
How does it work?
The available sponsored apps will always depend on your geographic location. Countries with large investment in marketing like the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, tend to have many more offers. To access these simply go to the “Play and win” section. You will have to install one of the sponsored applications, touching it will redirect you to its PlayStore page and you install it easily. After this, it is very important to know that you must open the application from the “My applications” tab. If you open it from the main screen of your cell phone you will not be rewarded.
The latter is due to the fact that, when opened from the application, it will be able to track the game time. So it can reward you based on time and what you do in the application. There will be many applications that offer a good payment to install them. From less than $1 to more than $3, all depending on your location and the deals of the day.

There is a minimum withdrawal requirement for new users, they will have to reach the amount of $100. Once this amount is reached, which is not easy to achieve, you can request your withdrawal.

To put it simply, PlayWard does not pay out, as its minimum withdrawal threshold is not easy to reach. It has a very good disguise of a legitimate application, but the way it works is that of a PUA. The lack of offers that you can get is abysmal, and this makes it difficult to reach the minimum withdrawal amount. You have no guarantee that your money will arrive, since you will not even be a registered user. Your funds can disappear at any time for the above reason.
It is not confirmed, but, there are applications similar to this one that when users approach the payment threshold they stop giving offers. This makes it much more difficult for them to reach the withdrawal amount. In fact, it makes it impossible to reach, and because of this, the user gets frustrated and stops using the application. This is beneficial for the developers, since they will not have to pay anything and the money will go directly to their pockets.
