In each article, you’ll find an honest and unbiased opinion, regardless of the outcome or the popularity of the project.

I encourage you to check them out; you’re sure to find one that catches your eye. Okay, now let’s see if it’s possible to make money with SmileVid or if it’s a scam.
What is SmileVid?
As you may have noticed, SmileVid is an app that lets you watch videos and earn money for each short film you complete. The app’s interface features a counter where you can track the number of seconds you’ve watched each video. Once this counter is full, you can claim the money back into your balance. I know it sounds pretty good and may be exciting for many, but what I have to say isn’t positive at all.
To begin with, this app was published by MID MAn TRADING COMPANY LIMITED, a studio that, to date, has no other public one. These types of companies usually follow a pattern: they publish a project, push it to the limit, and if they haven’t deleted their account yet, they repeat the same process with another project. In this case, there’s no prior history of the company, nor is it mentioned in forums or anywhere else, so all that’s left is to take a risk and see what results it actually offers and whether it’s worth it or not.
Whenever you see these types of apps offering overly simple tasks in exchange for money, it’s most likely a scam. No app is going to pay you for doing nothing; they have to generate revenue and sustain themselves somehow.

Installation and registration on SmileVid:
Finding this app is easy, although it can be confused with other similar projects. Before installing it, I recommend checking the name of the company that published it to avoid any confusion or errors with other projects. If it doesn’t give you the option to install it, it may be due to compatibility issues with your phone.
You don’t need to register to access the app; your details can be added later through additional settings.

How does it work?
SmileVid‘s operation is simple, and you don’t even have to pay attention to it. You can just place the video and let it play for a while without having to check the screen. The app has a fairly simple interface, with a few boxes on the screen and a menu at the bottom that allows you to access a sort of sweepstakes and your account. It also has a built-in timer that helps you monitor the time you’ve been watching a video and when you can claim your reward.
When you enter the app, you’ll find a vertical video format reminiscent of platforms like YouTube Shorts or TikTok. In fact, many of the videos you’ll see here come directly from those platforms. The videos are from all the categories allowed on a normal platform; the problem is that there’s no search engine, and the algorithm isn’t good enough to offer videos that match your tastes. Be content with the knowledge that you can let the video play and check it yourself to see if you can claim your coins.
Every time the white circle that appears on the side of the screen fills up, you can claim your reward . This takes just a few seconds. Please note that in some cases, you may be prompted to view ads.

Payments:
You can request payment through PayPal. I don’t know if other methods exist in other countries. The minimum payment is $50. This is a fairly low figure compared to other apps we’ve seen, but it doesn’t seem to be realistic.
The money adds up pretty quickly to your account, but there comes a point where you start receiving less money, and interestingly, that’s the point where you’re close to reaching your goal. Your goal is pretty simple, but the app will do its best to make sure it doesn’t happen, and you’ll stick around longer so you can watch ads.

Does SmileVid pay?
Although I’d like to give you a positive answer, the reality is that SmileVid doesn’t pay; it’s just another junk app. The app is fine, but to watch these types of videos, you can use any other platform where you’re not constantly bombarded with ads. If you want to try it on your own, go ahead. I’ll be happy to warn you, and what you’ll find will be nothing different from what I’m telling you.
